Events Calendar

Forterra, International Rescue Committee and Global to Local have partnered to build a community garden in the West Kent/Des Moines area!  The garden is intended to serve refugee, immigrant and low-income communities, and in addition to producing fresh and healthy food will be a gathering place for community members to learn about nutrition, healthy eating, and garden production techniques.

We’re holding our first community open house to share site options and solicit feedback to guide site selection and garden design.  Everyone is welcome and we hope you can join us!
