During Washington State’s phased approach to recovery, Age Friendly Seattle is producing all events virtually: every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time.

Age Friendly Seattle’s Civic Coffee Hour provides a platform for community elders to interact directly with government decision-makers. The program has been running for over a decade, but in the past year has drawn a lot of additional interest, including from immigrant and refugee communities. Civic Coffee Hours are hosted at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time on the third Thursday of every month, except December. This program is a partnership with The Seattle Public Library and was originally slated to take place at the Central Branch.

Close to Home: Stories of Health, Tech and Resilience is a new series of online events, featuring information and resources for older people, caregivers, and their families. Close to Home is scheduled every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time unless the Civic Coffee Hour is taking place. Presenters include government, nonprofit, and community representatives.
